About

This blog is updated by a software developer living in Auckland City in New Zealand. It includes entries about the everyday struggles in the corporate (or not so corporate) IT industry. It includes the little hacks that make development just a little easier, random encounters of kiwi-weirdness, some photography attempts and just the general ramblings of a girl coder.

I moved to New Zealand in Feb 2008. My home town, Port Elizabeth, was getting a bit small and the money was average. Dealing with Immigration NZ is not an easy task and not for sissies. I am now enjoying a different and better lifestyle. I am a software developer working for a software house servicing the international Cinema industry. My job ranges from maintaining & supporting legacy VB6 apps and Crystal reports to developing new features in .NET / MS-SQL.

I enjoy medical / criminal tv shows such as House and CSI and when I have some free time, I’ll enjoy any good computer game (Counterstrike, FEAR, Age of Empires, Age of Mythology etc). I can spend weekends curled up on a sofa with a good book.

I recently upgraded my camera and although I’m still a noob, I enjoy taking photos and capturing images that I want to share with the world.

Wanna know 50 more things about me? See my list.
